During yesterday's U.S. Men's National Team match against Belgium in the 2014 World Cup, USMNT goalkeeper Tim Howard stopped just about everything that was kicked in his direction. Although the U.S. team eventually lost the match 2-1 in extra time, Belgium very easily could have won, like, 8-0 if not for Howard's outstanding performance in goal. He saved 16 shots—the most saves recorded by a goalie in the World Cup in the last 50 years—and he did it in a variety of different ways. He jumped and dove and laid out to prevent Belgium from scoring time and time and time again.
