Russell Westbrook is "superhyped" for his forthcoming collaboration with Barneys New York. The flashy Oklahoma City Thunder point guard recently shot the lookbook for the collection.
"I was so happy to see the tag and see my name and logo on it," he told WWD. "I’d seen it on paper, but it’s the first time I’ve actually seen it in hand and in person."
The collection, which includes designs from Jordan, Marcelo Burlon, Naked & Famous, Del Toro, Want Les Essentiels, Selima Optique, and Globe Trotter, will feature a "W" logo Westbrook designed and hangtags that read Westbrook XO Barneys New York. Based on this preview, the designs definitely reflect Westbrook's personal style, albeit fewer bold colors.
Keep an eye out for the release in August.
