Here's What Happens When You Try to Sell Air Jordan Knockoffs at a Real Sneaker Boutique

We tried to convince sneakerheads at an NYC sneaker shop to buy Kmart's knockoff Air Jordans instead.

Remember those $30 Air Jordan knockoffs from Kmart last month? While many readers weren't too keen on the replica Js, we took things a step further and decided to see if we could convince actual sneakerheads to cop a pair.

We set up shop at New York sneaker boutique Extra Butter's Lower East Side store and put a pair of the Catapult brand Jordan III replicas on display.

For every pair that store manager Alex was able to sell (at a markup of $100 no less) Complex would in turn give him $100, and the ensuing responses from customers range from downright flagrant to absolutely hilarious.

Just how many naysayers was he able to convert? Watch the video above to find out.
