On Tuesday, Atlanta rapper T.I. went on "Larry King Now" to discuss Raven-Symoné's aversion to being labeled African-American, his thoughts on the shooting of Mike BrownPaperwork, and, of course, working with Pharrell.

Raven-Symoné made headlines when she told Oprah that she didn't want to be labeled African-American, just American. Larry King brought this up with T.I. and, surprisingly, he kind of took her side. "I mean, I think she has an incredible point," T.I. said. "I think we need to find more reasons to unify rather than to divide each other and separate from one another." They also discussed the death of Missouri teenager Mike Brown in depth, after T.I. posted a letter on Instagram and dropped the song "New National Anthem" featuring Skylar Grey.

He also touched on his album, Paperwork, and how he has the most creative freedom that he's ever had with Columbia Records. (He was signed to Atlantic Records previously) He spoke highly of Pharrell, who was a big reason for the switch, too. "He knows how to take a hit that wouldn't have been a hit in anyone else's hands, and make it one in his," he said.
