Today has been a wondrous day over at BBC's Radio 1. First Lana stopped by to share her new song "Salvatore" and now Halsey has hit the show's live studio. Chatting with Huw Stephens, who was filling in for Annie Mac, the 20-year-old singer talked about everything from getting her start in music to her first tour with The Kooks, arena tour with Imagine Dragons to the recent release of her debut album BADLANDS that has been "storming the charts."

Even better, Halsey performed some songs from the album including the acid-washed "Hurricane" and her single "New Americana" (aka the song so nice Zane Lowe played it twice when he premiered it on Beats 1). She also debuted an exclusive new cover mashup of Justin Bieber's "What Do You Mean?" (whose release she helped countdown to on Instagram), The Weeknd's "Often" (who she will be joining on tour later this year) and her own track "Young God" (dubbed one of our "best tracks you haven't heard yet"). Listen to the whole thing above. BADLANDS is out now on Astralwerks. If you haven't checked it out yet, YOU SHOULD (here's why). Also catch Halsey on her headlining tour this fall.
