Every Sunday night (or Monday morning, depending on your sleeping schedule), the weekly John Oliver takedown of a particular aspect of American culture on Last Week Tonight sets a new bar for satirical news coverage. This week, Oliver took on the events in Ferguson, MO surrounding the police killing of teenager Michael Brown.

And, naturally, he nailed several important pieces of the story. Chiefly, he looked at the absurdity of turning the police into a de facto military unit wearing camouflage and driving armored trucks through the middle of the town. While using two seemingly-stoned kids to prove his point was kind of an odd choice, it certainly hammered it home quite effectively.
