The first night of Ferguson’s midnight curfew resulted in seven arrests and one shooting victim left in critical condition. Protestors continued to gather yesterday well after the curfew instated Saturday afternoon by Missouri Governor Jay Nixon, who declared a state of emergency. Protestors felt the curfew was meant to suppress their efforts, instead of ensuring safety, like authorities said. This was only reaffirmed later when authorities used smoke and tear gas to control protestors despite saying they would not use those means. Here are some photos of what Complex saw on the scene.
